My review of Fuji WP Z33 & Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS3 waterproof cameras. Both are awesome and I explain the pros and cons of each.

I love Canon. I’m not interested in buying any other brand of camera.
I have the T2i and I also have an older Powershot.
The question I have is about my Powershot. It is the SD1000 Digital Elph 7.1 Mega Pixels.
I think it came out in 2007, I’ve had it for awhile.
It is still a great camera, nothing wrong with it and no real complaints. (except maybe some occasional camera shake and the full zoom is not so awesome)
I’m wondering if I should bother upgrading right now.
I was hoping someone with some Canon experience could give me some advice.
Is it unnecessary to get a new one if this one is still great or am I really missing out on some new great features, better quality….etc?
Basically, I am going to Cancun in January and was looking into buying some underwater housing for my SD1000. They are pretty expensive!! I happened to find one for sale for about half the price though (only about 0 with shipping- instead of almost 0!).
So even with the deal though, I was thinking, should I really buy this expensive accessory for this older camera that might be super outdated or maybe even die on me soon or something….?
Any advice would be welcome and much appreciated.
I love Canon I love photography but I’m definitely not Pro and if I should get a new camera I don’t know which new one to get.
I love my current one for it’s design too. It’s no larger than a pack of cigarettes, no pop-up flash (which usually bothers me) and great video quality, especially the sound.
My boyfriend bought a newer Canon Powershot (the SX210 IS) and his sound sucks.
I take my camera to a lot of concerts as well. I still prefer my older camera to his newer one.
Okay so that’s tons of information, sorry but trying to cover all areas and give as much info as possible.
Thanks so much in advance!!

@Elvis, thanks for the suggestion but the PowerShot ELPH 310 HS does not have the underwater housing available for it… and I want one that has a Canon brand underwater housing accessory made for it
